I wanted a bit more exhaust noise on my '10 FXDF (Fat Bob) to help defend against groggy morning commuters cutting me off and give my bike a more aggressive tone. I replaced H-D Screaming Eagle slip-ons with these.

Installation was about 45 minutes with everything room temperature (2 bolts 2 clamps to replace). It can take longer if the pipes are warm, shorter if you are familiar with how things go together.

The bike sounds BOSS afterward! It brought a smile to my face to FEEL the thump in my chest of each cylinder firing. Then I went for a 10-mile test drive which included city, flat highway, and extended hills. When I got home, my ears were ringing, which continued for hours afterward. I immediately ordered the 1.75" baffles.

Understand this: These fit my definition of glasspacks--a wide outer tube with a perforated metal inner tube wrapped with fiberglass (baffle) to somewhat restrict flow and absorb some sound. ALL of them are going to be pretty loud! For me, the 2" baffles are louder than I want.

If you are at all sensitive, I would go with a smaller baffle size, or perhaps keep searching for a different muffler.

Also, I urge you to go listen to a set on a bike before you buy.
