Bought this for one of my cars since it seems a certain 17 year old with no DL liked to go joy riding after hours. It tracks well and you can check routes and speed and it will run diagnostics on vehicle. It cost me about $125.00 to have it installed so it makes for a high priced investment, but as advertised you get the first year free. As an afterthought I wish I would have gone with the On-star FMV, but their service contract was a bit more money than carshields and you have to pay EVERY YEAR to keep this activated. On a side note, Customer service from Carshield is A+. I really think only one guy works there because every time I've called the same dude answers the phone. The only problems I had was getting the remote unlock to work and sign in and sign out. I was able to set up two accounts one on my girlfriends android phone and one on mine. This way either of us can operate the device. Customer service guy was able to get me up and going every time and they don't put you on hold or hang up on you! All said it does what it says it'll do if you want to spend the $$$$.
