Dual-zone high/low heat settings for driver and passenger right on the side of the seat. Illuminated switches. Does not require any OE controllers or switches to function. Constructed with extra rugged, triple-layered fiberglass. Wire harness hooks to accessory port in front of battery; seat has power only when the ignition key is turned on and accessory toggle switch below the handlebars is flipped up. Mustangs one-piece touring design provides the rider and passenger with the fullest, most comfortable seat possible. Baseplate is open in the middle to accept a Mustang or stock H-D driver backrest kit. 17 W front bucket, 14 W rear seat. Seat will fit with a handrail. MUSTANG Seat Heated Plain 97-07Fl 76653 Review

This may be a tolerance thing, or my 2003 Ultra Classic is slightly out of spec, but the seat dimensions were just a little off, making mounting a challenge. (Amazon says this part number won't fit my bike; the Mustang website says this part number is for my bike. I'm tending towards believing the manufacturer.)

The old pillow seat just slid on and off. This seat I had to really muscle on. Maybe it'll get easier once it breaks in.

The Harley driver's backrest fit in the slot. Again, it's just slightly off, pushing towards the rear of the seat just enough to make reaching the catch to get it on and off a pain. I finally resorted to a long flat screwdriver to work the catch.

I connected the electrical and made sure the switches lit up when the aux switch was on. All good.

Sitting on the bike is a different experience. The front appears to be narrower, while the back is wider. I can flatfoot the bike without cutting off circulation in my legs, and my tailbone feels better supported. I think I'm going to like it.
